Cinque Terre, Italy

What an adventure! We went to Cinque Terre on the Liguarian Sea for the weekend. If you translate Cinque Terre it stands for 5 Terraces. These Terraces are actually villages built into the cliffs and seaside near Genova, Italy.
It was an amazing weekend. I went swimming in the Liquarian Sea several times. It is much more salty than the Atlantic. When I return home, I plan on finding out the salinity of both oceans as you could literally feel the denseness of the Sea. Also, I could float like a bobber. It was such a wonderful experience. I was also able to pick up a cheap pair of goggles to view the sea life which consisted of many schools of fish, many colors; just breathtaking....which takes me to my next investment....a snorkel...which I did not buy, but will on my next trip.
There is also a hiking path that connects all the villages through the mountainside. We made this journey from Monterossa to Vernazza (about 3 hours)...not for the faint of heart. I swear it was uphill the whole way but I was reminded that there were some very nice trails that were about 2 feet wide, several million steps both up and down and the lovely beach of Vernazza to swim in upon our final descent from our hike.
We head onto Verona to explore the Colleseum and Roman ruins.
